Bench is an internationally renowned clothing brand with a long, proud and illustrious cultural history.
Each season 150 delegates from all over the world were flown in to Manchester to see the new range and learn about the city, the brand and its heritage, via a fashion show, dinner, workshops and a show-stopping finale event.
The Bench International Conference was a key event in the brand’s calendar, and needed a high profile, international fashion and music extravaganza, that was inviting, attention grabbing and inclusive.
Guests from all over the world attended the annual event, which was much about presenting the brand as the new season range, with a focus on each event being better than the last.
The series of events we collaborated with the Bench in house team to produce, kicked off with creative, high-end fashion show and key look presentation at Manchester’s iconic Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI).
A finale event at Gorilla, with a show that featured hotly tipped UK acts Bipolar Sunshine, JJ Rosa, Letters to Fiesta and Brown Brogues, with the Warehouse Project’s Krysko, all hosted by Xfm’s Jo Good.
Working with our partner agency Instruct Studios bespoke brand that pulled all elements of the trip together; named Explore, it was based on mapping, and visually welcomed delegates of every nationality to Manchester. The brand was rolled out across the trip with idents for the huge screens at the MOSI fashion show, plus window vinyling, visuals, menus and even beers at the Gorilla event.
To ensure delegates had a true Manchester welcome, each received a hand made, personalised box om, taking in screen printing, foiling and letterpress, which included everything they would need for their trip, including a bespoke 20-page welcome book with the feel of a high-end travel guide, and glossary of Manchester slang in five languages, along with branded stationary, and even a hang-over kit.
Bench has worked with Sundae Communications from December 2011 on projects in the UK and Europe including online content creation, gigs, sales launches, exhibitions, fashion shows and much more. We have been consistently impressed by their professionalism, expertise and attention to detail, always going above and beyond to achieve impressive results.
