About
I told my Mum I was going on an R.E. trip, a co-production from Contact and 20 Stories High, filmed for BBC Performance Live.
A warm and honest drama exploring issues around abortion for young women today. Told through the voices of four young women, the production interweaves real interview material, song and spoken word to portray true stories and experiences.
Our role was to deliver a publicity campaign that maximised this TV broadcast opportunity for Contact and 20 Stories High.
Due to the subject matter it was essential to handle the campaign carefully and sensitively, liaising with all key stakeholders and working closely with the young cast to support them during all press interviews.
The Campaign
We created a bespoke campaign that ensured cut-through into all TV listings and national supplements and the show was critics choice in the Guardian, Telegraph, Observer, Radio Times and Sunday Times Culture.
We also devised a tailored feature pitch specifically targeted press that would handle the topic sensitively and our talent campaign offered a spread of voices, keeping the conversation balanced.
All of which resulted in national broadcast interview features including BBC Breakfast and BBC Radio 5 Live, alongside women’s titles such as Elle, Refinery 29, Emerald Street and The Pool, and cultural coverage in DesiBLITZ, British Blacklist and Nubian Times.
